Students are expected to treat their research experience as a full-time commitment. The student will make oral presentations for their peers and faculty during the course of the 10-week project. At the completion of the program, students will do a poster presentation in conjunction with other CHAS students involved in summer research.
Students receive a stipend and two undergraduate credits through CHEM 3600.
International Research Experience for Undergraduates in France
The University of Northern Iowa has a long-standing student exchange program with L’ École Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Rennes (ENSCR). During the summer 2011, four undergraduate students from UNI participated in this program in Rennes, France where they conducted research in the laboratories of ENSCR faculty members. We would like to recruit students to participate in the summer 2017 program. Download a Word document with more information on the International Research Experience.
Students interested in this program may contact Dr. John Bumpus, 285 McCollum Science Hall – email@example.com
Please make your decision by the first week of January, 2017.
